Big Support for The Big Bake.

The villagers of Donington came in their droves to support Clark Family Eyecare‘s Big Bake Sale in aid of the Brain Tumour Charity on Friday March 6.

March is Brain Tumour Awareness Month (BTAM) and The Big Bake was launched by The Brain Tumour Charity to bake a difference for everyone affected by brain tumours.

Busy practice as people donate for cake

Tina, Optical advisor at Clark Family Eyecare and who organised the event was astonished by the support of the community when the total was revealed to be over £300.

Tina who unfortunately couldn’t be at the event said [of the amount] “That‘s unbelievable, I only pledged £50”. Tina‘s father was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Stage 4 Multiforme in 2018.

Fundraising at Clark Family Eyecare continues with £10 being donated by the practice for every Enhanced OCT Eye Examination that is performed throughout the month.

The grand total raised from the Big Bake is £357.14p.
